COLESVILLE, N.Y. (WBNG) — 12 News has learned new, disturbing details regarding alleged crimes against the mother of a 10-year-old who was found dead in a home in Colesville on February 18.
Serina Madden, 31, is facing two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
According to court documents obtained by 12 News, Madden, while knowing that her daughter Belladonna Loke was deceased, failed to take care of Belladonna’s remains and allowed her nine-year-old son and two-year-old daughter to sleep and play in the same room where Belladonna’s body was located.
The documents state this happened between Saturday, February 17 and Sunday, February 18 at 2097 East Windsor Road in Colesville. Belladonna Loke’s body was found by police that Sunday following a report that a child had been found unresponsive.
According to the Broome County Jail, Madden has posted bail, which was set at $4,000 cash or $8,000 bond.
New York State Police say the investigation into Belladonna’s death is ongoing.
