SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Sioux City police arrested a man for burglary and drug charges after he allegedly exposed himself.
Court documents report that Leland Purgett, 30, of Sioux City, entered the enclosed front porch of a house on the 1800 block of Court Street Wednesday morning around 8:20.
Purgett found the keys to the house and locked himself in the front porch. In view of a female resident, he allegedly started masturbating and smoking methamphetamine.
Police arrived around 9:30 a.m. found Purgett on the porch and told him to stop, but he refused.
Purgett was arrested for Burglary 2nd degree, a class C felony; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor; Failure to Obey a Peace Officer, a simple misdemeanor; and Possession of Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor. He was booked into the Woodbury County Jail on a bond of $25,000.
