A plane en route from Ibiza to Belfast was forced to divert when a passenger caused a blow-up on board by playing with a sex doll in front of horrified children, according to reports.
The boozed-up creep, part of a stag party, was “verbally abusive” when he was refused alcohol during the flight, according to the BBC Northern Ireland.
A fellow passenger, who was flying with her partner and 4-month-old baby, said the man’s group was “quite rowdy” when it boarded the aircraft.
“The captain introduced himself and gave a really stern warning and reiterated that only alcohol bought on board could be consumed on flight and duty-free can’t be consumed,” she told the BBC.
After taking off from the Mediterranean island off Spain on Friday afternoon, the pilot warned passengers that he would land in Barcelona if the unruly behavior persisted.
When the disruptive behavior escalated later, the crew diverted to France and landed in Toulouse, where the man was met by police and eventually banned by the airline for life.
“Unfortunately, his behavior was particularly unnecessary towards one of our crew and he was also aggressive and unruly in the vicinity, where other families with young children and customers were sitting,” a Jet2 spokesman told The Sun of the UK.
“It’s is very clear that consuming alcohol illicitly contributed to this behavior and as part of our ‘OnBoard Together’ approach we will continue to call for action to better control the sale and consumption of tax-free goods purchased at airports,” the rep added.
